Basic Boating Camp
Sacramento State Aquatic Center (Associated Students Inc.)
Run by the Sacramento State Aquatic Center for over 40 years and recognized as the benchmark for boating safety. Campers ages 7-17 learn sailing, canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddling, windsurfing, and boating safety, including how to capsize and recover in each boat. Each session runs Monday-Friday with full-day care from 8am-4pm (instruction 8:30am-3:30pm). A Parents Night on the water is offered Thursday of each week, and even-numbered weeks (2, 4, 6, 8) include an optional Thursday campout.
