Food, Music & Stories of Mexico
Camellia Waldorf School
Join us on a journey through Mexico! We will visit five states - Chihuahua, Jalisco, Estado de Mexico, Veracruz, and Chiapas - and explore the rich traditions of each region. Together we will cook and taste dishes that are representative of each state, listen to and sing along with traditional music, and learn simple folkloric dances. Students will also create arts and crafts inspired by the work of local artesanos and learn about Mexico's Indigenous cultures through stories and legends. Food, Music & Stories of Mexico is taught by Camellia's Spanish teacher, Maestra Lulu. This class is offered to rising first through third graders.
